LaVar Ball: entrepreneur, hot take master, big baller, peaceful observer?

Ball was the latter at UCLA, according to Bruins head coach Steve Alford, who told Tania Ganguli of The Los Angeles Times that he never heard a peep from him, and rarely saw him around the team.

"Zero," was Alford's response to how much the biggest baller of them all got involved in the affairs of his son Lonzo's team.

"Never at practice," he added. "Never at practice; never called me."

According to Ganguli, rumors swirled at Chino Hills High School regarding how much Ball meddled with the team. Alford said he had no such issues last season, claiming he was essentially a model fan.

"Playing time, shots, that kind of stuff - we don't entertain some of those phone calls anyway," Alford said. "I never had any issues at all with LaVar."
