Cincinnati coach Mick Cronin had plenty to lament Sunday, but failing to reach the Sweet 16 of the NCAA tournament didn't make his list.

"Doesn't matter to me, you care about the Sweet 16, I don't," he told reporters, courtesy Joe Danneman of FOX19. "I care about trying to win a national championship.

"That stuff is all for recruiting and guys' resumes."

The second-seeded Bearcats blew a 22-point lead to No. 7 Nevada, taking a stunning loss in the second round.

Cincinnati hasn't been to a Sweet 16 since 2012.
