Best bets to consider for the 2019 NBA Draft

We have a pretty good feel for how the first few picks of the 2019 NBA Draft will shake out. But while there's not much value to be had in those spots, there are still ways to gain an edge.

Here, we cover some of the most intriguing draft props available to give you some added rooting interest on Thursday night.

De'Andre Hunter draft position under 5.5 (+100)

Hunter is one of the risers in this year's draft class. He's frequently compared to Kawhi Leonard and punctuated his career at Virginia with 27 points in the title game win over Texas Tech.

The Pelicans are rumored to be shopping the No. 4 overall pick, and it's tough to envision a team trading up for a player like Hunter who might have a lower ceiling than Darius Garland or Coby White. The sweet spot here is pick No. 5 with the Cavaliers, who could add a two-way forward to the fold after drafting point guard Collin Sexton last season. New head coach John Beilein is also rumored to have a soft spot for Hunter

Cam Johnson picked ahead of Ty Jerome (-170)

Trim a year or two off Johnson's age and he's a lottery pick. One of the oldest players projected to go off the board, Johnson put up big numbers at North Carolina after transferring from Pitt. The forward has been pegged ahead of Jerome in most credible mocks and it feels as though a team has to really be in love with the latter for him to go first.

Rui Hachimura picked ahead of Brandon Clarke (-200)

In a battle of two Gonzaga forwards, all signs point to Hachimura hearing his name first. There was some initial buzz that the Timberwolves - who hold pick No. 12 - made a promise to the 21-year-old, although president of basketball operations Gersson Rosas dismissed that notion. Either way, the board lines up well for Hachimura to be a fit at No. 11, 12, or 13 - well ahead of where most reputable mocks have Clarke.

Over 1.5 North Carolina players drafted in the top 10 (+250)

Point guard Coby White doesn't figure to get past the Chicago Bulls at No. 7, so you can automatically pencil him in, barring chaos. The most logical North Carolina alum to slip into the top 10 for this one to hit is Nassir Little, who reportedly had a great workout for the Wizards. Washington can go a variety of ways with the No. 9 pick, but Little's been linked to the franchise.

Jaxson Hayes draft position under 11.5 (-210)

There's still value on pricier sides, and we think this one's the best of the bunch. Hayes has been consistently mocked to the Hawks at No. 10, and there have even been some whispers regarding the Bulls. At just 19 years old, Hayes is the perfect developmental project for a rebuilding team in the top 10.
