Five-star recruit Terrence Clarke announced Saturday his commitment to Kentucky, according to 247Sports' Evan Daniels.

Though originally a consensus top-five prospect in the 2021 class, Clarke also said he will attempt to reclassify to 2020.

Clarke chose to join the Wildcats over Boston College, Duke, Memphis, Texas Tech, and UCLA.

“I think it was just Kentucky being more honest and keeping it real with me,” he told Daniels. "Coach (John Calipari) wasn't all about the talk. He wanted to talk about what I can do and can't do.

"He told me if I come to Kentucky that it won't be an easy job and those types of things make you want to work 10 times harder because I know I don't want to be in a situation where I just get the ball, I want to work for everything I have."

A product of Brewster Academy in New Hampshire, Clarke will join BJ Boston, Cam'Ron Fletcher, and Lance Ware in Kentucky's 2020 class.
