Florida State forward Patrick Williams declared for the NBA draft, he announced on social media Thursday.

The 6-foot-8 freshman averaged 9.2 points and four boards in 22.5 minutes en route to winning ACC Sixth Man of the Year. Williams also earned a spot on the ACC All-Freshman team and his block percentage of 5.6 was the fifth-highest in the conference.

Williams is expected to be a mid-to-late first-round pick and was projected at 20th overall in the latest mock draft by The Athletic's Sam Vecenie. He's got a 6-foot-11 wingspan and has the potential to be an effective 3-and-D player at the next level if he improves on his outside shot.

Williams is the second Florida State player to put their name in the draft over the past week, following teammate Devin Vassell.

Underclassmen can maintain their remaining NCAA eligibility if they withdraw from the draft process by June 3, though ESPN's Jonathan Givony notes that deadline is tied to the draft's originally scheduled date of June 25.
