Memphis lands commitments from 4-star recruits Mikey Williams, JJ Taylor

Memphis landed two four-star prospects in shooting guard Mikey Williams and wing JJ Taylor on Saturday. Both recruits announced their commitment on Instagram.
Williams is the 30th-ranked prospect on the 2023 ESPN 100, while Taylor is No. 45. The pair are teammates at San Ysidro High School in California.
Williams had offers from other schools, including Kansas, North Carolina, and Arizona State.
The Tigers also added guards Carl Cherenfant and Ryan Forrest in the 2023 recruiting class.
Memphis opens its season Monday against Vanderbilt.
