No one was happier to see the Washington Huskies advance to the College World Series than Arizona Diamondbacks third baseman and former Huskies star Jake Lamb.
Washington secured its first-ever trip to Omaha with a come-from-behind 6-5 win over Cal State Fullerton on Sunday night, and Lamb simply couldn't hold back his emotions as he watched his alma mater celebrate a walk-off sacrifice fly in the bottom of the 10th.
There was some additional meaning to Washington's victory for Lamb, as his younger brother, Dylan, is on the team as a freshman reliever.
