Alabama's Tagovailoa apologized to Nick Saban for pick-6

Tua Tagovailoa is still learning the college game, but he has the politeness of a wily veteran.

The Alabama quarterback threw a pick-6 against Tennessee on Saturday, something which he quickly apologized to his head coach for.

"You probably don't know Tua very well, but he says thank you and apologizes for everything and he was apologizing for that," Nick Saban said, according to Rainer Sabin of AL.com.

Those were Tennessee's only points of the afternoon, so Saban couldn't have been too concerned in another game that Alabama won handily. In fact, Saban was impressed with the way Tagovailoa responded.

"I think the most important thing is he went back into the game and he played well and made plays," Saban said. "Even though he felt bad about what he did, it didn't affect his confidence and I don't think it affected the players' confidence in him."

The freshman has been receiving a fair amount of playing time this season in relief of Jalen Hurts, since the Crimson Tide have been typically routing their opponents. Tagovailoa has thrown for five scores in 2017 and run for two more.
