LSU indefinitely suspended wide receiver Drake Davis on Saturday after he was arrested and charged with second-degree battery for an incident involving his ex-girlfriend, according to Andrew Lopez of The Times-Picayune.

The woman, a student at LSU, said to investigators that Davis attacked her on four separate occasions, according to a warrant obtained by WBRZ:

  • June 2018 - Davis strangled her, punched her, and ripped an earring from her ear
  • April 2018 - Davis broke her ribs
  • May 2017 - Davis punched her in the stomach
  • Unknown date - Davis strangled her after she waved at a friend

In the warrant, police also say Davis wrote to her in a text message, "I might kill you."

The woman said her relationship with Davis began in January 2017 and ended only recently. An LSU official reported the information to police Thursday.

Davis, a junior, had four catches for 153 yards and two touchdowns through two seasons with the Tigers. He appeared in all 13 games last year.
