The Citadel produced one of the most shocking results of the young college football season Saturday, toppling 27-point favorite Georgia Tech 27-24 in overtime.

The Citadel - an FCS program - held the lead through the first three quarters before Georgia Tech kicker Brenton King hit a 34-yard field goal to tie the game as time expired in the fourth quarter.

The Yellow Jackets received the ball first in overtime, but King missed a 46-yard attempt in the extra period.

The Citadel was unable to get a first down in its only drive of overtime, but hero Jacob Godek connected on a 37-yard kick to give the Bulldogs a massive upset.
