The game between Baylor and Oklahoma State scheduled for Saturday has been moved to Dec. 12 due to the Bears' COVID-19 outbreak, the school announced Sunday.

"We are disappointed to postpone another game," said Baylor athletic director Mack B. Rhoades. "However, the significant increase in positive COVID-19 cases has led to concerns of an outbreak and the decision to suspend team practice through Oct. 17. Secondly, this has caused a position group to fall below the minimum threshold of available players."

Baylor suspended all football-related activities last week due to COVID-19 concerns, but the school was hoping to play against Oklahoma State as scheduled following its bye.

The Bears have now postponed three games this season due to the virus (matchups with Louisiana Tech and Houston were the others). They are 1-1 this season.

"In situations like this, it is best to do all that you can to break the chain of transmission to help mitigate the length of time for ongoing spread of the virus," said Big 12 consultant Dr. Christopher J. Hostler.
