Florida head coach Dan Mullen announced Saturday that he tested positive for COVID-19 and is currently self-isolating.

"I am proud of how our players, staff, and campus community have navigated this unprecedented item and hope all continue to be safe," Mullen said in a statement.

Saturday's contest against LSU was postponed due to the Gators' growing number of positive tests.

Florida confirmed five positive tests Tuesday, with 18 players reportedly testing positive overall. Student-athletes and staff members who tested positive are asymptomatic or have mild symptoms, while another 10 players are apparently facing quarantine due to contact tracing.

The Gators' matchup with LSU is tentatively set to be played Dec. 12 following the outbreak. Florida is scheduled to play Missouri on Oct. 24.

Mullen joins Alabama's Nick Saban and Florida State's Mike Norvell as prominent Power 5 coaches to contract the virus.
