Michael Graham, the son of Hawaii head coach Todd Graham, is transferring away from the Warriors, according to ESPN's Adam Rittenberg.

Graham plays defensive back. He was a freshman in 2021 after sitting out the previous season due to the COVID-19 pandemic. He's the 14th player from Hawaii to enter the transfer portal since the end of the season.

The head coach came under scrutiny in early December following a SF Gate report that detailed allegations of player mistreatment. One player categorized Graham's methods as "verbal abuse," while another said Graham and his staff "made me lose the love of the game."

Hawaii hired the 57-year-old Graham in 2020 after Nick Rolovich left for Washington State. He's gone 11-11 over two seasons, including 6-7 this year. He addressed the growing transfer list on Tuesday.

"As a staff, we realized the transfer portal would bring challenges to our team," he said in a statement. "The portal has been a challenge to many teams this season. We are disappointed to lose any member of our Warrior family to the transfer portal … Moving forward, we are continuing to listen, learn, and improve daily. We are focused on developing the players on our 2022 squad."

Michael Graham's older brother, Bo, is the Warriors' offensive coordinator.
