2023 No. 4-ranked WR Brandon Inniss commits to Ohio State
Ohio State can't stop adding offensive weapons.
Four-star wide receiver Brandon Inniss announced his commitment to the Buckeyes' 2023 class Tuesday, according to Hayes Fawcett of On3.
"I built a great relationship with (the coaches) over time," Inniss said about his decision. "I know (wide receivers coach Brian) Hartline will develop me to be the best version of myself on and off the field. Also, the competition in the wide receiver room is going to be great. I will have other top guys like me pushing me every day, and that's what I need."
Inniss, the No. 25 overall recruit in 2023, is the fourth-ranked wide receiver in the country on the ESPN 300. He chose Ohio State over finalists Alabama, LSU, Miami, Texas A&M, and USC.
The 6-feet, 190-pound prospect is the second highly touted pass-catcher to join the Buckeyes in as many days after Carnell Tate. Inniss said he announced his commitment to Ohio State exactly one day after Tate for a reason.
"Back-to-back is something I thought of because Chris Olave and Garrett Wilson went back-to-back in the NFL draft, and that's something I thought would blow up," Inniss said of Tate. "Our bond is very strong from (South Florida Express), being with each other every weekend. I'm definitely excited to team up with him at the next level.
"I know he will push (me) on the field, and I'm going to push him. They couldn't stop us on SFE, so I'm not expecting them to stop us at Ohio State, either."
Olave and Wilson played the past three seasons together at Ohio State. They both entered the NFL draft this year, with the New York Jets selecting Wilson 10th overall and the New Orleans Saints taking Olave at No. 11.
