Deion: Shedeur is 'gonna be the No. 1 pick' in draft
Deion Sanders is confident his son Shedeur Sanders will be the first player off the board in the 2025 NFL Draft.
The Colorado head coach made the guarantee Tuesday while discussing possible landing spots for Shedeur Sanders on "The Pacman Jones Show" with former NFL cornerback Adam Jones, suggesting his son could end up going to the New York Giants at No. 1 overall.
"Giants are not gonna give up that pick. They not gonna give up that pick," Deion Sanders said after Jones proposed a scenario where the Las Vegas Raiders trade up for the top pick. "The Giants are not giving up that pick ... Shedeur's gonna be the No. 1 pick."
Deion Sanders recently shot down a report stating there was a "high likelihood" that Shedeur Sanders would refuse to play for the Giants or Cleveland Browns if either team drafted him, calling it a "lie" and misrepresentation of the Colorado quarterback.
The Giants, who sit at 2-12 on the season, currently hold the No. 1 overall pick with the Raiders, New England Patriots, Carolina Panthers, and Tennessee Titans rounding out the top five.
Shedeur Sanders is projected to be a top-five pick in next year's draft.
