Boxer Adrien Broner was booked into Fulton County Jail in Atlanta early Tuesday morning on a misdemeanor sexual battery charge, jail records show.

The 28-year-old was taken into custody at the Lenox Square shopping center Monday night after a woman told police he had "inappropriately groped her," officials told TMZ Sports. He was reportedly scheduled to appear before a judge around 9 a.m. local time Tuesday.

Video surfaced in September that appeared to show Broner shoving a female companion and knocking a man out in Las Vegas, after which the boxer posted a series of messages on Instagram pleading for help.

In 2016, Broner was cited for misdemeanor battery after a nightclub waitress in Las Vegas said he choked her.

Broner's next scheduled fight is against Omar Figueroa Jr. on April 21.
