New York Giants fans were quick to rally around Daniel Jones after the rookie was named the team's starting quarterback over Eli Manning.

Apparel shop Fanatics reported Tuesday that Jones' jersey sales had risen 500 percent since Giants head coach Pat Shurmur made the announcement, according to the Nicolas Vega of the New York Post. More Jones merchandise was sold Tuesday than in the previous two weeks combined.

In four preseason games, Jones completed 85.3% of his passes for 416 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions. He was selected sixth overall in this year's draft.
