After five weeks, it's clear the Miami Dolphins are not going to win over 4.5 games.

The Dolphins have become the NFL's whipping boys this season, but in fairness to them, there are a number of other teams that won't come close to reaching their projected win totals. Meanwhile, a handful of other franchises seem destined to surpass their totals with relative ease.

Don't start throwing away tickets just yet or spending any projected winnings, but in the cases identified below, you pretty much know the eventual outcome of your bet.

Teams trending over

New England Patriots, 11

At this point, the 5-0 Patriots are likelier to end up with 16 wins than with less than 11. Over the next three weeks, New England will host the New York Giants and Cleveland Browns while visiting the New York Jets. The Pats will also close out their season at home against the Buffalo Bills and Dolphins following a trip to Cincinnati.

Green Bay Packers, 9

Now sitting at 4-1 after a big win in Dallas, the Packers only need to go at least 5-6 the rest of the way to get a push here. They play in a hard NFC North, but their remaining schedule at Lambeau Field is more than negotiable.

Seattle Seahawks, 8.5

With five more wins, the Seahawks will hit their total. The remaining schedule is far from easy, but Russell Wilson and Pete Carroll are enough to win at least five more games.

San Francisco 49ers, 8

The 49ers may never lose again. Well, they will, but not enough times to finish with less than eight wins this season. The Niners should get there by Week 11, in fact, with two contests against the Arizona Cardinals, a trip to Washington, and visits from Carolina and Seattle on their upcoming schedule.

Buffalo Bills, 7

The Bills are 4-1 and will still play the Dolphins twice along with home games against the Washington Redskins, Denver Broncos, and Jets. It would be scandalous if Buffalo doesn't finish at least 8-8.

Detroit Lions, 6.5

Tying Arizona wasn't great, but the Lions look like a legitimate playoff contender. They need to go 4-8 to hit this total, and you'll have a hard time finding eight losses on their remaining schedule.

Teams trending under

Los Angeles Chargers, 9.5

Sitting at 2-3 the banged-up Chargers still need to play the Kansas City Chiefs twice, the Packers, and the Minnesota Vikings. They'll also travel to take on the Tennessee Titans, Chicago Bears, Denver Broncos (whom they just lost to at home), and Jacksonville Jaguars. Does anyone truly believe they can go 8-3 the rest of the way?

Cleveland Browns, 9

See what happens when the Browns get some preseason hype? People had this team winning 12 games and Baker Mayfield taking home MVP honors - it's hard to say which one was more far-fetched. Their remaining schedule isn't the toughest, but the Browns lack the consistency needed to win eight of 11 games.

Pittsburgh Steelers, 9

How much really needs to be said here? The Steelers are 1-4 and down to their third-string quarterback. Next.

Atlanta Falcons, 8.5

The only way the Falcons are finishing above .500 is if Dan Quinn gets fired in the next hour and Don Shula replaces him. Atlanta appears to have quit on 2019 already, and that's concerning with seven more games against teams with winning records.

New York Jets, 8.5

Sam Darnold derailed the Jets' chances of going over eight wins when he went out and got mononucleosis. He can still have the breakout season many were expecting, but it's absolutely too late for him to lead the Jets above .500.

Washington Redskins, 6.5

The good news for the Redskins is they'll play the Dolphins this week. The bad news is they're still facing trips to Minnesota, Buffalo, Carolina, Green Bay, and Dallas. Even if they win all their remaining home games (they won't), the Redskins would still need to win two road contests to hit their over.

Cincinnati Bengals, 6

The 0-5 Bengals are not going to finish with six wins, let alone over the total. Can we just leave it at that? No? Outside of their round-robin matchups with the Dolphins and Jets for the first overall pick, there aren't many games left you'd feel confident they have a shot to win. If you can't beat the Cardinals at home, what are you even doing?

Miami Dolphins, 4.5
