Another week brings another collection of gut-wrenching bad beats for football bettors.

There's a reason we wait until Monday to release these. Hopefully, if you were on the wrong end of one or more of these outcomes, you've had enough time to hit the reset button.

As always, if you bet on any of these, our sincerest condolences.

Arizona State 31, Oregon 28

Bad beat: Under 54

There were 20 (!) points heading into the fourth quarter. Allow me to introduce you to one of the worst beats on a total this season.

OK, still some wiggle room. But two plays into Oregon's next drive, Arizona State was set up for another scoring drive following this Justin Herbert pick.

Following a field goal to make it 24-7, the Ducks responded with a three-play, 75-yard drive to cut the deficit to 24-14. After forcing a three-and-out, Oregon went 66 yards on three plays to make it 24-21 with 5:24 left. Under bettors were looking for Arizona State to bleed the clock or for Oregon to score a touchdown with little time remaining to end it at 28-24.

Here's the third-and-16 play from the Sun Devils on the following drive:

Oh, did you think Arizona State's defense wasn't going to play a soft prevent on the final drive of the game? You must be new here.

Another typical 39-point fourth quarter.

Florida International 30, Miami 24

Bad beat: Under 49

Not to be outdone, FIU-Miami also got pretty weird late on Saturday.

After the two Florida schools combined for one touchdown in the first 49 minutes of action, this passing score opened things up.

Roughly three minutes later, the Hurricanes scored their first touchdown of the game on a Cam'Ron Harris 14-yard scamper.

Under bettors: Stop scoring touchdowns, please.

Similar to the Arizona State-Oregon game, all under bettors needed was for FIU to burn the clock or for Miami to score a game-winning touchdown. The only thing they didn't need was a meaningless touchdown from Florida International ...

And, of course, the icing on the cake.

Buccaneers 35, Falcons 16

Bad beat: Under 51.5

Oh look, another under bet ruined by a garbage-time touchdown. Except this one came on fourth down, from the right arm of Matt Schaub, on one of the most ridiculous catches of the day.

I think that's enough for today.
