Like many people, Klay Thompson has made some regrettable purchases.

In a sit-down interview with Maverick Carter, LeBron James' business partner and co-founder of Uninterrupted, the Golden State Warriors star detailed the financial mistakes he made early in his NBA career.

"Yeah, I made some mistakes, like hoarding ... especially with the clothes, man, the NBA style," Thompson said. "I would just have a full closet, and I'd only wear about 5% of the closet. And I'm like, 'What am I gonna do with all these extra clothes, man?' So I had these hoarding tendencies that I had to rid and it took some time."

Team poker games were also an issue for Thompson.

"It's a great way to build camaraderie, but it's tough to do on your rookie deal, especially when you're playing guys who have been in the league for like eight, nine years," he said. "But that competitive drive comes in, especially with poker, you know, it's such an emotional game."

Thompson, the Warriors' first-round pick in 2011, signed a new five-year, $190-million contract in July.
