A GoFundMe campaign to save a popular Green Bay Packers hangout in New York City received some support from Aaron Rodgers last week.

Like many establishments, Kettle of Fish has been struggling financially during the COVID-19 pandemic. Owner Patrick Daley, a Wisconsin native, said he was encouraged to set up a GoFundMe page to help save the bar, which dates back to 1950.

"Friends, and actually Wisconsinites that live here now, they've been saying, 'Patrick, get a GoFundMe going,'" Daley told Kent Wainscott of WISN 12 News. "And Aaron Rodgers saw it and retweeted it.

"I mean, Aaron Rodgers is Aaron Rodgers, so that's like a whole different thing."

Rodgers visited Kettle of Fish last year, and Daley said his tweet has provided a boost for the campaign.

As of Sunday afternoon, donations to the GoFundMe have topped $56,000.
