Barry Bonds took part in a different kind of competition on Sunday as he and his miniature schnauzer Rocky participated in the 145th Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show.

Rocky received Select Dog honors in the miniature schnauzer group, but Bonds told Fox Sports' Jennifer Hale before the event he was just happy his dog qualified.

"I've been to a lot of playoffs, and I've been to the World Series. I never won for 22 years, and I kept trying," the 14-time MLB All-Star said. "But the actual thing is just the work ethics - how you do, how you get there. I'm just proud that he's here, I'm not expecting anything."

This year, Westminster's prestigious Best in Show award went to a Pekingese named Wasabi.
