Charles Barkley plans to retire at 60: 'I'm not working till the day I die'
Charles Barkley's two-decade run as an analyst on NBA on TNT could soon be coming to an end.
Appearing on 106.7 The Fan's "Grant and Danny" show Monday, Barkley revealed that he doesn't plan to work past the age of 60 while lamenting about political correctness and cancel culture.
"I'm trying to hang on for another couple years till I'm 60, and then they can kiss my ass," the 58-year-old Hall of Famer said. "I'm only working till 60, I've already told them that. I said, 'I'm not working till the day I die, that's just stupid.' And if I don't have enough money by now, I'm an idiot anyway, so they should fire me anyway."
Barkley has contemplated walking away from TV before, but, as revealed in a Sports Illustrated piece, he was convinced to re-sign with TNT in 2015 after some wining and dining.
Barkley has won four Sports Emmy Awards since joining TNT in 2000.
