Saquon pays tribute to NYC with new Nike sneaker

New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley is getting his own Nike Air Trainer III.

Barkley teamed up with Nike on a new colorway of the Air Trainer III that draws on his admiration for Bo Jackson, his New York City roots, and the sneaker culture of the 1990s.

Barkley's logo appears on the heel of the shoe, while his No. 26 is featured on the tongue. The reflective detailing represents NYC construction zones and the two black stripes are made to look like Barkley's eyeblack.

The shoe releases Oct. 8 at select retailers.
