Los Angeles Lakers guard Malik Monk revealed Nick "Swaggy P" Young is the inspiration behind why he has avoided tattooing his right arm.

Speaking to reporters Tuesday, Monk said he decided at 17 not to tattoo his right arm after learning why Young was keeping one of his arms ink-free.

"Strictly for buckets," Monk said, quoting a 2014 tweet from Young.

"I never talked to (Young) about it," Monk continued. "I was a high schooler, just starting to get tatted, and I heard him say that, man. I'm like, 'Oh yeah. Yeah, it's my turn now.'"

Monk is averaging 11.3 points, 2.1 assists, and 2.7 rebounds per game this season, his first with the Lakers.
