Netflix documentary series to follow lives of PGA TOUR pros

A new Netflix series will grant golf fans an unprecedented look at the PGA TOUR.

The TOUR announced Wednesday that it partnered with Netflix on a documentary series following the lives and stories of top professional golfers like Rickie Fowler, Sergio Garcia, Dustin Johnson, Brooks Koepka, Jordan Spieth, Justin Thomas, Bubba Watson, and more.

The series will go behind the scenes of the biggest events in men's golf, including the four majors.

"This partnership with Netflix presents the PGA TOUR and the four major championships an opportunity to tap into a completely new and diverse audience," the organizer's chief media officer, Rick Anderson, said in a statement. "This documentary will give fans an authentic look into the real lives of our athletes, and what it’s like to win - and lose - during a season on the PGA TOUR."

Vox Media Studios and Box To Box Films, the company behind "Formula 1: Drive to Survive," will produce the series. Filming is currently underway.
