The stars will be out to shine in Hollywood on Sunday night for the 95th Academy Awards from the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles and we've got you covered with a look at Canadian involvement, who's in the running, and our picks for major awards on the line.

There's no shortage of Canadians in contention for Academy Awards this year with nearly a dozen Canucks up for honors across various categories. Not only are they competing, but many of the Canadians are favorites to take home awards.

Brendan Fraser has the shortest odds at theScore Bet (-165) to earn Best Actor for his performance in "The Whale." The same goes for Sarah Polley at -260 with "Women Talking" to win Best Writing - Adapted Screenplay. Along with Fraser, Adrien Morot is also nominated for his work on "The Whale" (+110) for Best Makeup and Hairstyling.

In the Best Documentary Feature category, Daniel Rocher and Odessa Rae's "Navalny" is the favorite to win (-260), while fellow Canadian Ina Fichman's "Fire of Love" is just behind at +260.

Also featuring a pair of Canadian nominations is the Best Animated Feature category, though in this case both Domee Shi's "Turning Red" (+1600) and Chris Williams' "The Sea Beast" are considered longshots. As is "The Flying Sailor" from directors Wendy Tilby and Amanda Forbis (+1800) to win Best Animated Short.

And the longest shot of all the Canadians to win Sunday night also happens to be the most well-known. James Cameron's "Avatar: The Way of Water" is up for Best Picture, but with extremely long odds of +10,000.

Of the major awards being handed out on Sunday, best supporting actor has by far the heaviest favorite. Ke Huy Quan ("Everything Everywhere All at Once") has been on a roll, scooping up the precursor awards, and seems destined to take the Oscar as well. Brendan Gleeson ("The Banshees of Inisherin") could be a dark-horse contender.

On the opposite end of best supporting actor, best supporting actress has no clear favorite for the award. While Angela Bassett ("Black Panther: Wakanda Forever") has the best odds, Kerry Condon ("The Banshees of Inisherin") is right in the mix.

Brendan Fraser ("The Whale") enters the Oscars with serious buzz and a wellspring of emotional support behind him, but we don't see him taking home the statue. The academy could also decide to honor The King, with Austin Butler ("Elvis") taking home the award for his performance as Elvis Presley.

There is no doubt Cate Blanchett ("Tar") could add the third Oscar win of her career here after turning in a sublime performance. But Michelle Yeoh ("Everything Everywhere All at Once") is the favorite for a reason, thanks to a role that asked her to bring just about anything (and everything) an actor can to a movie.

This is a tough one as Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert's film ("Everything Everywhere All at Once") is set to possibly dominate the evening, but if there's one thing the Oscars love to reward, it's the majesty of film. Steven Spielberg ("The Fablemans") does just that with a semi-autobiographical story that details his early years as a filmmaker, the type of content voters just adore.

While it would be fun to see an absolute blockbuster like "Top Gun: Maverick" take home the big prize, that doesn't tend to be the academy's style. Instead, this year it could be another film that has been adored by both critics and fans alike, that far exceeds its expectation at the box office, and that has dominated in the precursor awards. Since it was released nearly an entire year ago last March, "Everything Everywhere All at Once" has been seen as a potential Oscar favorite.
