Odell Beckham expects to 'play a lot more' vs. Eagles

Scott R. Galvin / USA TODAY Sports

Odell Beckham returned to the field Monday night, but it was clear the New York Giants star wideout wasn't 100 percent.

Beckham hopes to see more action Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles.

When asked a follow-up question about playing more, Beckham said, "That’s what’s going to happen," according to a team release.

The 24-year-old made just four receptions for 36 yards in a loss to the Detroit Lions, revealing after the game he was on a pitch count due to a lingering ankle injury.

Given the way New York's offense struggled in its opening two contests, the G-Men will need a monster game from Beckham if they hope to secure their first win of the season.
