Pick or Pass? Who to take in your survivor pool in Week 7

Vincent Carchietta / USA TODAY Sports

The New York Giants shocked the world last week with a win in Denver and likely eliminated almost any remaining players left in survivor pools.

With so many upsets this season, it's hard to imagine many survivor pools haven't been decided, and most contests are likely reloading for a second round.

With that in mind, going forward, picks will reflect one team that should be selected for a new pool, and one that should be selected should you be one of the few who's still alive in an original pool.

Team to pick if still alive

Tennessee Titans

Marcus Mariota returned to the lineup and the offense immediately looked miles better in Monday's win over the Indianapolis Colts. While the Tennessee Titans looked strong, this pick is helped by the fact it's the Cleveland Browns on the other side of the field. The Browns got run off the field by the Texans last week in Kevin Hogan's first career start, and will be going back to Deshone Kizer on Sunday. It won't matter who's starting, as the Titans are by far the better team.

Record: 9-3
Teams picked so far: Carolina Panthers, Pittsburgh Steelers, Seattle Seahawks, Oakland Raiders, Green Bay Packers, New England Patriots, Cincinnati Bengals, Atlanta Falcons, Indianapolis Colts, New York Giants, Denver Broncos, New Orleans Saints

Team to pick if starting over

Carolina Panthers

The Chicago Bears will be riding high after Mitchell Trubisky's first career win, but things are about to change when the Carolina Panthers come to town. The rookie quarterback only completed nine passes in the win as Jordan Howard carried the offense with a 167-yard rushing day. The Panthers hold the league's fifth-best rushing defense and should be able to bottle up Howard and Tarik Cohen, forcing Trubisky to beat them through the air. Our bet is he won't be able to do so and the Panthers will walk away with the win.
