Add new Los Angeles Rams cornerback Marcus Peters to the list of people who believe Aaron Donald is deserving of a sizable contract extension.

Speaking Monday as the Rams prepare for voluntary practices, Peters bluntly stood by Donald, who is currently skipping OTAs as he seeks a new contract.

"Pay the man," Peters told reporters Monday, referencing Donald, according to NFL.com's Jeremy Bergman. "I mean, sh--. I mean, you win the MVP, man. Come on now."

Now in the final year of his rookie contract, Donald is slated to make $6.89 million in 2018, well below his market value. General manager Les Snead has claimed the team would prioritize an extension for the star defensive tackle, but negotiations have yet to progress.

Donald has made the Pro Bowl in each of his first four seasons, and was named a first-team All-Pro in each of his last three. The reigning defensive player of the year accumulated 11 sacks and five forced fumbles in 2017.
