Los Angeles Rams star cornerbacks Marcus Peters and Aqib Talib appear to have avoided serious injuries after exiting Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Peters avoided an Achilles injury and reportedly suffered a calf strain, according to Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio. The 25-year-old will reportedly undergo an MRI to determine the severity of the injury.

Talib suffered an ankle sprain, a source told Florio. He's expected to receive a second opinion Monday.

Peters and Talib were acquired by the Rams during the offseason and both players have been imperative to the new-look defense, with the team getting out to a 3-0 start.

The Rams are on a short week, hosting the Minnesota Vikings on Thursday, and it'll be a welcome relief if both players can return for a hotly contested showdown.
