The Chicago Bears are signing free-agent safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix to a one-year contract worth $3.5 million, sources told NFL Network's Mike Garafolo.

Clinton-Dix replaces Adrian Amos, who signed with the Green Bay Packers, in Chicago's secondary.

The former first-round defensive back began the 2018 campaign in Green Bay, but was traded to Washington in October. The Redskins offered him a deal to remain with the team, but he ultimately moved on.

The former Pro Bowler will slide in next to former Alabama teammate Eddie Jackson in a stout secondary that ranked No. 3 against the pass last year. He's equally adept in pass coverage and run defense.

Clinton-Dix amassed 79 tackles, one sack, three interceptions, and two forced fumbles in 2018.
