Oakland Raiders head coach Jon Gruden said Friday that Antonio Brown will not play in any preseason games, according to The Athletic's Vic Tafur.

It will be Brown's first season under offensive coordinator Greg Olson after the receiver was acquired from the Pittsburgh Steelers for 2019 third- and fifth-round picks.

With Brown resting during the preseason, Gruden hopes to see other receivers prove themselves in place of his snaps, particularly undrafted rookie Keelan Doss who the club brought into minicamp on Friday, Tafur reports.

Behind Brown, Derek Carr's offensive options are Tyrell Williams, J.J. Nelson, Ryan Grant, and running back Jalen Richard.

The Raiders also selected running back Josh Jacobs in the first round of the draft and receiver Hunter Renfrow in the fifth.

Oakland opens the preseason Aug. 10 against the Los Angeles Rams.
