It appears the Arizona Cardinals kept their plan to draft quarterback Kyler Murray first overall a secret to everyone, including Josh Rosen.

Rosen said Tuesday on the "Rich Eisen Show" that Cardinals general manager Steve Keim never communicated with him in the months leading up to the 2019 draft, and that he hasn't heard from Keim since being traded to the Miami Dolphins.

The current Dolphins quarterback said he only learned about Arizona's intention to select Murray one minute before the pick was announced when he received a phone call from Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury.

The next day, Rosen - who was initially drafted 10th overall by the Cardinals in 2018 to be their franchise quarterback - was shipped to Miami for a second-round pick and a 2020 fifth-rounder.

Rosen will now compete with veteran Ryan Fitzpatrick to be Miami's starting QB in 2019.
