Shane Ray has signed with the Baltimore Ravens, the team announced on Friday.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that he'll ink a one-year contract.

Ray was a first-round pick of the Denver Broncos in 2015 (No. 23 overall), but his stint with the team was marred with injuries and inconsistency. The outside linebacker missed 13 games over the last two seasons due to multiple wrist ailments.

The 25-year-old defender amassed 14 career sacks across 49 games with Denver. He broke out with eight quarterback takedowns in 2016 but has accumulated just two since.

Ray adds competition to a young, unproven pass-rush unit in Baltimore that lost Terrell Suggs in free agency. He'll compete for snaps with recent draft picks Tyus Bowser, Tim Williams, and Jaylon Ferguson across Matt Judon.

The Ravens also signed Pernell McPhee and well-traveled receiver Michael Floyd on Tuesday.
