Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Nick Foles is targeting a Week 11 return from the broken collarbone he suffered in his team's season opener, a source told ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.

Foles' recovery is expected to take roughly 10-12 weeks depending on how the bone heals, Fowler adds.

The Jaguars placed the former Super Bowl MVP on injured reserve earlier this week after he underwent surgery.

Foles, 30, is required under league rules to miss at least the next eight weeks. Jacksonville will then have the option of using one of its two IR-return spots on him. Head coach Doug Marrone previously stated he didn't expect the veteran's injury to be season-ending.

With Foles sidelined, the Jaguars will turn to rookie Gardner Minshew as their new starting quarterback. The team also acquired Josh Dobbs from the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday.
