The Kansas City Chiefs have told their players that training camp is a go, NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reports.

Rookies and quarterbacks will report for COVID-19 testing Monday, Pelissero adds.

Most teams are scheduled to open training camp on July 28, but the NFL and the National Football League Players Association have yet to reach an agreement on health and safety protocols as well as testing amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Teams have the right to tell players to report to camp under the new collective bargaining agreement.

The defending champion Chiefs will play in the first game of the 2020 season when they host the Houston Texans on Sept. 10. The Texans have also received the go-ahead to bring rookies into the building for COVID-19 testing starting Monday, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.
