Tennessee Titans linebacker Kamalei Correa has requested a trade due to a lack of playing time, sources told NFL Network's Mike Garafolo and Tom Pelissero.

Correa was a healthy scratch Tuesday against the Buffalo Bills, and he's played only 39 snaps this season.

The Titans reportedly intend to honor his request and will release him if they can't find a trade partner.

Correa, 26, finished last season with 37 tackles and five sacks across 16 appearances, which included five starts. He's yet to start a game in 2020 and has just two tackles in three outings.

The Boise State product signed a one-year, $2.25-million deal with Tennessee in the offseason. His role was reduced once the Titans added Jadeveon Clowney and Vic Beasley to their stable of pass-rushers.

Correa has tallied 77 tackles, 11 tackles for a loss, and 8.5 sacks over his Titans tenure. He's started nine of a possible 32 games over three years in Tennessee.
