Laying points with bad teams is a surefire way to lose money long term in betting. The Giants have done nothing to earn the tag as favorites other than being the home team in a stadium with no fans. Daniel Jones' expected completion percentage against the reeling Cowboys defense was just 53.3%. Now he faces a Washington secondary that ranks fifth in efficiency against the pass and has all the tools up front to exploit a serious mismatch against a struggling Giants offensive line, ranking fourth in sack percentage.
Kyle Allen will start his first full game for Washington on Sunday after his Week 5 start was cut short by a concussion. He's not a world-beater by any means, but the offense showed signs of life with him at the helm, including an impressive 11-play, 73-yard touchdown drive capped off by an Allen touchdown run. He's got a true No. 1 receiver to target and an emerging running back in Antonio Gibson, which will help him at least exploit a pedestrian Giants defense.
Jones, meanwhile, hasn't thrown a touchdown pass since Week 1 and he's got a much tougher matchup here than meets the eye. There will be constant pressure in his face, and while Devonta Freeman has looked capable, he's not going to lighten the burden on the young quarterback. It won't be pretty, but Washington matches up well here to at the very least keep this a one-score game.
Cardinals @ Cowboys, Oct. 19 @ 8:15 p.m.

As terrible and heartbreaking as Dak Prescott's injury was, the bottom hasn't completely fallen out for the Cowboys. Few backups in the league are more capable than Andy Dalton, and with the weapons at his disposal, there's no doubt this offense will keep ticking along.
The bigger hindrance to Dallas' ability to move the ball has been the offensive line, but the Cardinals are less equipped to exploit that weakness with Chandler Jones placed on season-ending injured reserve this week. Without pressure on Dalton, the Cowboys' trio of No. 1 receivers is well-suited to exploit an Arizona secondary that ranks 26th in efficiency.
The lookahead line here had the Cowboys favored by three points but swung as many as six points before settling back at +1.5. It's a drastic overreaction to Prescott's injury, and we haven't seen nearly enough from the Cardinals to suggest they warrant laying points on the road. Their opponents this season have a combined record of 7-17, and they're still just 3-2. There's too much value on the Cowboys here to pass up, especially getting them at more than a touchdown.
