The Detroit Lions are expected to add John Dorsey to their front office as a senior personnel executive, sources told NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.

Dorsey, who previously served as a general manager for the Kansas City Chiefs (2013-2016) and Cleveland Browns (2017-2019), will provide veteran experience while working among the Lions' talent evaluators.

The Lions hired first-time GM Brad Holmes from the Los Angeles Rams following the 2020 season.

The 60-year-old brings close to 30 years of football experience to Detroit, including five as a player for the Green Bay Packers. Starting off as a scout in 1991 after his playing career ended, Dorsey worked his way up to become a director of football operations by 2012.

Most recently, he spent the 2020 campaign as a consultant with the Philadelphia Eagles.

Detroit is also expected to hire Ray Agnew as the team's new assistant general manager, adds Pelissero.
