Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Urban Meyer is apparently impressed by the level of competition he's faced.

Cameras caught Meyer, who's had a rough start to his pro football coaching career, telling Denver Broncos head coach Vic Fangio before their Week 2 game just how hard it is to win in the NFL.

"A lot of good players in this league, man. It's Alabama every week," said Meyer.

Meyer started the season with consecutive losses to the Houston Texans and Broncos, with the Jaguars being outscored 34-60 in those contests. He also said in an interview prior to the 2021 campaign that he was expecting to face the likes of Alabama weekly.

The 57-year-old coach built a legendary college football career before accepting his first NFL job with Jacksonville, posting a 187-32 record across stints with Bowling Green, Utah, Florida, and Ohio State. He also won two national titles with the Gators and one with the Buckeyes.

Alabama led all college teams with 53 players on active NFL rosters prior to the 2021 season, while Ohio State and LSU ranked second and third with 47 and 46, respectively.

Meyer and the Jaguars face the 2-0 Arizona Cardinals on Sunday.
