Crosby fights Jets' Connor after reverse hit

Pittsburgh Penguins captain Sidney Crosby squared off with Winnipeg Jets sniper Kyle Connor in the third period of Friday's contest.

Crosby went after Connor moments after the former was knocked to the ice by a reverse hit from the 2022 Lady Byng winner.

Each player was given five minutes for fighting, and Crosby received an additional minor for cross-checking. Crosby had been credited with nine scraps in his career before Friday, according to hockeyfights.com. Connor didn't have any fights to his name.

"We're not taking shit from anybody," Connor said after the contest, according to Mike McIntyre of the Winnipeg Free Press.
