Love: Communication key to preventing future Ryder Cup problems

United States vice-captain Davis Love III believes it's a simple fix when it comes to preventing internal issues for future Ryder Cup teams.

“I just think we need to communicate a little bit better as a team,” Love said, according to Rex Hoggard of Golf Channel. “That doesn't mean just the captains or just the players. I think we need to get to know each other even better and communicate a little bit better so little frustrations don't turn into problems.”

Little frustrations, such as Patrick Reed's comments, created plenty of drama after the Ryder Cup festivities ended in Paris.

Love knows exactly what it takes to win a Ryder Cup, as he was the captain for the winning American side at Hazeltine in 2016. Despite their ugly seven-point loss in France, he remains positive about future USA teams.

“It's disappointing,” Love said. “We hate to lose, but I think we're still positive about the future and the way the guys, except for a couple little things that have created a big stir afterwards, we all got along great and we had a lot of fun.”
