Tony Finau posted a scorching 9-under 62 on Saturday at the Waste Management Phoenix Open to take a one-shot lead over Webb Simpson into the final round.

Finau's bogey-free performance consisted of seven birdies and an eagle at TPC Scottsdale. He's played his last 50 holes without dropping a shot after making his only bogey of the week on the fourth hole during Round 1.

The 30-year-old missed the cut in his previous four appearances at the Phoenix Open after finishing tied for 22nd during his debut in 2015. Finau will look to secure his second career PGA Tour title on Sunday.

A hole-in-one on No. 12 highlighted Simpson's 7-under 64. He was deadlocked with Finau before bogeying the short par-4 17th to fall back and sit alone in second.

Here's how the top of the leaderboard stands following Round 3:

Place Player To Par R3 Score
1 Tony Finau -16 62
2 Webb Simpson -15 64
T3 Hudson Swafford -14 66
T3 J.B. Holmes -14 70
T5 Xander Schauffele -13 66
T5 Adam Long -13 66
T5 Scott Piercy -13 68

Billy Horschel and Wyndham Clark, who played in the final group alongside J.B. Holmes during the third round, shot 2-over and 3-over, respectively, to drop out of contention.

Notables Jon Rahm (10-under), Justin Thomas (8-under), and Rickie Fowler (5-under) sit outside the top 10 with 18 holes left.

In an effort to finish the tournament before the Super Bowl begins, final-round tee times are earlier than normal. Round 4 begins at 11:04 a.m. ET, with the leaders teeing off at 1:05 p.m.
