The field

After back-to-back tournaments with fields offering little excitement at the top, the group taking on TPC Summerlin is stacked in comparison. Collin Morikawa, Bryson DeChambeau, and Webb Simpson are the top-ranked players in the field. Rounding out the list of notables is Patrick Cantlay, Hideki Matsuyama, and Matthew Wolff.

In total, 18 of the top 40 golfers in the world will be in Las Vegas this week to create the strongest Shriners Hospitals Open field in 32 years.

The course

TPC Summerlin is a 7,255-yard, par-71 course located an hour west of downtown Las Vegas. Thanks to three reachable par 5s and a bunch of short par 4s, the players tend to go extremely low, with the winning score in recent years exceeding 20-under.

The course is also a home base for many pros in the field, including Morikawa, Maverick McNearly, Aaron Wise, Scott Piercy, Kevin Na, and Justin Suh, to name a few.
