Brooks Koepka will make his first PGA Tour start since the middle of August at next week's CJ Cup, he announced Wednesday.

"Excited to get back out there at next week’s CJ Cup at Shadow Creek," Koepka said. "It’s been a challenging but productive two months of rehabbing my injury. Looking forward to starting the new season in Vegas! As a past champion, I commend everyone at the CJ Cup for moving forward!"

The former world No. 1 missed the cut at the Wyndham Championship in his most recent appearance before withdrawing from leg one of the FedEx Cup Playoffs - the Northern Trust - due to a knee injury, which ultimately ended his 2019-20 campaign.

The same lingering knee injury forced him to withdraw from last year's CJ Cup and also caused him to skip the 2020 U.S. Open at Winged Foot.

Koepka won the 2018 CJ Cup when it was held in Jeju Island, South Korea.
