Report: Arizona's Miller recorded discussing $100K payment to recruit Ayton

FBI wiretaps recorded Arizona head coach Sean Miller discussing a $100,000 payment to ensure star freshman Deandre Ayton signed with the Wildcats, sources told ESPN's Mark Schlabach.

The latest bombshell comes as various media outlets leak reported details of evidence seized from the office of decertified NBA agent Andy Miller. According to Schlabach's sources, Miller's former employee Christian Dawkins - who was one of 10 men arrested in relation to the ongoing investigation into college basketball - spoke directly to Miller about payments to be made to Ayton.

Ayton is a candidate for both the Naismith and Wooden awards and is a consensus top-three NBA draft pick this summer. The 7-foot-1 Bahamian center committed to Arizona in September 2016 while a senior at Phoenix's Hillcrest Prep.

Arizona assistant coach Emanuel "Book" Richardson was another individual arrested in last fall's FBI sweep, and has been charged with six felonies, including conspiracy to commit bribery and solicitation of bribes.

The news is another massive blow to Arizona's program. On Thursday, sophomore guard Allonzo Trier was declared ineligible due to a failed PED test.
