Kentucky finds 'no eligibility issues' after internal review for potential violations

Kentucky has not found any "eligibility issues" or violations among its current players and staff in response to a report Friday from Yahoo Sports that suggested multiple former and current college players received cash advances from agency ASM Sports.

"In reference to the Yahoo! Sports men's basketball article, the University of Kentucky immediately reviewed the matter and, based on the available information, determined that there were no eligibility issues or rules violations for any current student-athletes or staff to Friday's report," the school announced Saturday. "Kentucky will continue to work diligently with both the NCAA and the Southeastern Conference."

The school's concerns may have fallen with forward Kevin Knox, who was named specifically in the report as one of several current college players who had a meeting or a meal with Christian Dawkins, an associate of disgraced former NBA agent Andy Miller.

Kentucky head coach John Calipari said Friday he was confident Knox would be fine to play Saturday against Missouri despite the player's name popping up in the report.

Knox wasn't the only Wildcat named in the findings. Miami Heat center Bam Adebayo, who played one season for Kentucky in 2016-17, was identified on a balance sheet belonging to ASM Sports as having received tens of thousands in loans from the agency. Adebayo, however, did not sign with ASM.
