The Baltimore Orioles are bringing back a familiar face to help serve as some additional depth.

Pedro Alvarez reportedly agreed to a minor-league deal with the Orioles on Sunday, according to Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports.

With Chris Davis and Mark Trumbo expected to receive the majority of reps at first base and DH, respectively, Alvarez will likely begin the season in Triple-A. The 31-year-old former All-Star has spent the last two seasons in Baltimore, hitting .255/.324/.499 with 23 home runs in 123 games. He only appeared in 14 games with the Orioles last year, however, hitting .313/.353/.438 with a single homer.
