Fiorentina terminate Palladino's contract by mutual consent
Raffaele Palladino left Fiorentina on Friday after his contract with the Serie A club was terminated in a surprise announcement.
"ACF Fiorentina can confirm that Raffaele Palladino’s contract, as well as those of his backroom team, has today been terminated by mutual consent," the club said in a statement.
Palladino leaves Fiorentina less than a month after extending his contract with the Florence-based club by a year to 2027.
The 41-year-old replaced Vincenzo Italiano last summer and guided Fiorentina to sixth in Serie A and qualification for the Conference League, a competition the 'Viola' exited in the semi-finals this season.
Italian media report that it was Palladino who decided to resign, due to a tense relationship with sporting director Daniele Prade.
